Where can I donate an adjustable bed on Long Island, NY?

Question by Patricia H: Where can I donate an adjustable bed on Long Island, NY?
I have a twin adjustable bed in like new condition that I would like to donate to a deserving organization. The bed was $ 1500 when purchased. I cannot find any charity that will take it.
Anyone know of any organization on Long Island, NY that handles adjustable beds?

You generally cannot donate mattresses. The organizations won’t take them because of the chance that “bodily fluids” got on it at some point. Put it on Craigslist or another site as free to someone who needs it.

Question by Puddin’s Training Tips: Tell me about your adjustable bed?
Anyone have an adjustable bed or know someone who has/had one? How do you like it? What brand do you have? Anyone sleep with their pets? Does the movement scare them?

After years of propping myself up in bed (I have sleep apnea and acid reflux), I think Im ready to spend a few thousand dollars for an adjustable bed. Just want to make sure it is something I really want.

I had one and it worked great after i converted it to make a fold up ramp for my trailer. not joking
