My adjustable bed mattress keeps slipping off the frame!?

Question by nona35: My adjustable bed mattress keeps slipping off the frame!?
We have 2 twin XL adjustable beds which make a king size bed. We keep having problems with the mattresses slipping / moving off the frame. Not on the end because the bar is there, but on the sides. Is there something that can be done to keep the mattress from slipping off the frame other than securing the 2 beds together (say with a king size sheet) because each bed is adjustable? Any help is appreciated!

Try putting a piece of something on the sides and glue it on the bedframe, it sounds like u could use a piece of cardboard about one inch high hot glued onto the frame on both sides, if not that a ing size sheet would work too

Question by tammy_49_2001: Anyone know of a homemade adjustable bed, with padded sides?
My sister is disabled, and in order for health care workers to come into our home, we need her to be in a hospital bed, ( or a bed that goes up and down and is on wheels) however, a hospital bed will not hold her in, she seizures and if she is sitting up and goes into a seizure she could fall out as the rails are not very high on a regular hospital bed.
Does anyone know of a homemade adjustable bed ( that goes up and down ) with higher and padded sides ?

I have no personal knowledge of it, just did a search.
You can add padding yourself as I have never heard of padded guard rails for adult beds–infants yes, adults never seen such a thing though it might exist–a hospital nurse might know.
Good luck. If that does not work, contact your local Area Agency on Aging (listed like that in phone book) and tell them what you need and they hopefully have someone who can give you the name of a company that provides an appropriate one.
